St Thomas' Garstang Food Bank provides support to those in need of food throughout the local area. We are open to all sections of the community and ensure a warm welcome to anyone - families, single or homeless people - experiencing food difficulties.

Nobody in need will be turned away, although anyone seeking continued support will be asked to seek advice from a professional organisation, e.g. Citizens Advice, Local Authority, NHS, or Social Services, with the aim of lifting themselves out of whatever crisis they may be facing. As part of such an ongoing support arrangement, the user will be asked to submit a formal referral.

The referral should be made either on the St Thomas' Garstang Foodbank Referral Form, which can be downloaded from this website or obtained via email from [email protected]. Also acceptable is an official referral form from the referring organisation. One referral will entitle a user to a total of five foodbank visits before further review is necessary. These visits can be weekly or spread over a number of weeks, depending on individual circumstances.

The underlying issue for people in need of food support is often financial difficulty. As further support to our users, we have developed a working relationship with Citizens Advice, an organisation available to help manage debts and maximise income. The local Citizens Advice office can be contacted on 01257 265432 or by email: [email protected]

Further information can be obtained by text/phone on 07726 777856 (not 24 hours, please leave a message and someone will return your call) or by email: [email protected].
